dominique_city.jpgWhat has Dominique feeling so down?

I went to a talent agency today and met with an agent. I felt frustrated leaving the agency. I received a lot of positive feedback but was told I don't have all the finances needed to move with my daughter anywhere right now. I felt a bit down, but I know I've got it together. I want to make all these things happen, and I know I can't do it focusing on what I lack. I am using it as motivation to stay focused on all I have to gain. No matter how hard things get, I made a promise to myself to never give up.

You have been a huge fan for me and my family, keep up the good work, love you girl. You are a major and successful modeller.

Hey Dominique, I just saw the Tyra Show (not sure of it's old or not) but the Modelville special was on and you were talking about how you are so frustrated about not being able to move to NYC due to monetary issues, but needing to be there. I just moved from NYC to Los Angeles after having lived in NYC for seven years (since college.) I actually find that living in NYC was a lot cheaper that one might expect. First of all, you do not need a car. Living in Los Angeles, I am the only one without a car (I just got married and we are trying to save $ so I ride a bike.) Also, there are affordable areas in NYC. I lived in Washington Heights which is very up and coming now but you can still find numerous rent friendly places. Brooklyn is also an option. Additionally, groceries are so much cheaper there as well. I was able to get by easily on $40 a week for food and still be able to eat out and not feel like I was on a budget. I think having little bodegas on every corner helps a lot. If I had a choice, I would move back in a second, but my husband is in the industry here in LA and we need to be here for now (a move that depressed the hell outta me.) It can be hard moving to a new area and having to make a new life and new friends and connections, but if it's your dream, you should go for it. I had a small clothing line back in NYC which I had to temporarily abandon since moving here as I don't have all the connections I did back in NY. It is

This is the reason she should win!! She's not just gorgeous inside and especially out, but she's got something to live for her beautiful daughter!! She needs to win, plus she's got what it takes just like her profile says resilience. Resilience is a true trait that everyone, especially those going into the business of modeling needs. I compeltely back her to WIN!!!
